Forest Resources and Biomass Field Trip Report

I have visited five places in this field trip. This field trip is two days. The first place
that I had visited is a modern Japanese housing company. When I visited this factory, I
think that Japanese are very creative and innovative to produce special design building
to facing the impact from the earthquake. I also have the opportunity to experience the
demonstration of the earthquake. After experience it, I think I should be grateful because
my country (Malaysia) do not have earthquake.

The second place that I visited was monkey bridge which constructed 1300 years
ago. I am very shock that this place is still in a good condition although it has an age of
1300 years!

The place that we stay was an old traditional Japanese house. I am very happy to
stay in this house because this is my first time to sleep in tatami. After visit and stay in
this house, I think that it is very important that we should maintain the traditional culture
and building so that the next generation are able to know the history of their nation.

I am very glad that I also have the opportunity to visit Mt. Fuji as it is the highest
mountain in Japan. After visit Mt. Fuji, I think that we should appreciate the beauty of
nature as it is the creation of God. Hence, we should do our best to preserve the
environment especially the forest area.

The last place that I visited in this field trip was Fujisan World Heritage Center. I
learn a lot of geographical and cultural knowledge about Fujisan. This center is very good
because it provides a lot of information related to Fujisan.

In conclusion, I think this field trip is very meaningful to me because I experience

a lot of “first time” from this field trip. I hope I can apply the knowledge which I gain from
this field trip to apply in the future of my life.
