Project Management Information Systems – MIS605

(Team Work)
Purpose
This assignment allows you to use your MIS skills and techniques that you have been
studying to examine a case study and carry out an in-depth analysis of an existing
MIS and suggest a modification to help the organisational productivity.
Your instructor would be looking for your ability to find and make sense of ideas
about describing the system of your case study, investigating the system problems,
and suggesting remedial actions in view of your course of study's learning outcome.
Your Team’s Report
Choose one of the Systems for different management groups or one of the enterprise
applications, and make sure your report following the below sections:
•Cover Sheet
•Title Page (The title of your project with member’s names)
• Table of Contents
• Executive Summary or Abstract
•Introduction - brief about the company
•The problems
• The Solutions
• SWOT Analysis
• The Evaluation -based on comparison with other company in the same filed
• Conclusion -Add the group opinion, recommendations
• Bibliography
•Appendix A - The Role and the responsibility of each team member

Other sections are also recommended but not required such as :


•Abbreviations and/or Glossary
•Data collection (Survey, Interview …)
• Other appendices

Things to consider:
✓ There is no lower or upper word limit for the report of this assignment.
However, as a rough guide, the main part of your report (Executive
Summary...Conclusion and Recommendations) should not be less than 10
pages and not more than 20 pages with 1.5-space and text font size of 12.
✓ All members of a team will normally receive the same mark for the report.
However, if your teacher becomes aware of an imbalance of effort within a
team, your teacher may allocate marks that reflect individual assessment of
that imbalance.
✓ If you believe that a member of your team is not making an acceptable
contribution, you should: 1. Attempt to resolve the problem within your
team. If that fails, then: 2. Discuss the matter with your teacher. 3. Please
keep in mind that your teacher can only adjust marks if she is made aware of
the problem.
Be very aware of plagiarism. Always cite your sources. If you don’t understand
what this means, please talk to your teacher .

SUBMISSION
You submit your assignment by uploading the report document to the Blackboard
system (no hard copy is required) :
➢ A word document for the main report and name it
“Course_Section_GroupName”
➢ A Pdf documents for your presentation must be submit it
➢ The leader of each group should upload the files to the assignment
section on Blackboard. Beware that your teacher uses matching
software to detect plagiarism.
MARKS
This Assignment is a group assignment worth 25% of total marks for this course.
There are two deliverables for this assignment:
• A group report worth 20%
• A group presentation worth 5%
