Summative Assessment Directions

For this unit’s summative assessment or project on La Mode, students, you’ll be working in your
groups to create a presentation on French fashion vs. American fashion. For this presentation, I
want you to compare the similarities and differences between French fashion and American
fashion. It will be similar to your graphic organizer assignment. You may utilize the information
from your graphic organizers that you worked together with your peers for your presentation.
You are encouraged to use any web-based tool to create your presentation, such as Prezi, google
slides, or any other tools you might prefer. You will be utilizing everything you know about
French fashion from this unit so far in this presentation. Please remember to include a minimum
of five (5) differences for each culture, a minimum of three (3) similarities, and at least four (4)
images of French and American fashion and brands. Make sure to also include a conclusion at
the end of the presentation and explain to the class why your group thinks it is essential to learn
and discuss the impact of fashion and connect it back to your own experience. Feel free to
include your own culture’s fashion when comparing it to French and American fashion. When
grading your presentations, I will be looking for the overall quality of the presentation,
presentational skills, organizational skills, collaboration, connection to your personal life and if
you understood the topic through analysis, and if all the requirements are met. Even though I will
be grading you as a group, remember that I’m grading you individually as well. Your
contribution to your group is crucial, and your group depends on you. As usual, please feel free
