Graphic Organizer Assignment Discription

For this assignment, students, you are going to start by reading the article "French Fashion v.
American Fashion" from France-Amérique Magazine and take some notes on the similarities and
differences between the fashion from both cultures. Then, to help you have a better
understanding of the material, we will be watching two videos to see the visual representation of
both culture's fashion while you continue taking some notes. The two videos are "100 years of
French Fashion" and "100 years of Fashion: Gals vs. Guys." You can watch the two videos
below. Next, I will ask you to research some well-known French and American fashion brands
and familiarize yourself with them. After you finished gathering and organizing all the
information, you're going to share and discuss your notes with your peers. Then, you're going to
work collaboratively in groups to create a graphic organizer on Popplet that compares and
contrasts French and American culture and fashion, specifically a Double-Bubble Map. It is
similar to a Venn diagram. When creating your Double-Bubble Map, make sure to include a
minimum of five (5) differences for each culture, a minimum of three (3) similarities, and at least
two (2) images of renowned French Fashion brands, and two (2) images of American Fashion
brands.
