1. Learning is not a competition in Singapore. I Am in favor of this or not?

Let me give a chance to state in this paper both side of mine before my
conclusions. In positive side of competition helps to Improved teamwork and
collaboration, strengthening academic self-concept, increasing intrinsic motivation,
Improving risk analysis. While Negative competition is when we compete with others in
such a way that we want to win at the expense of the other person or people involved. In
other words, our success is predicated on their failure. And it also dictates the students to
make wrong decisions just to win. It also results to overthinking, competition will make
you focus on your competitor instead of focusing on your progress. All in all, as a student
I liked to promote the concept of no competition because I want children learned a lot
about relationships, value of friendships and to study adequately in a good environment
with no hesitation of this and those. I am not in favor to the concept of competition in
studying it makes student uncomfortable if ever they not get what they want.
