Where it All Started: Major events in the history of soccer.

Humans have an undescribed love for sports. Some love to play out in a field and run to burn some
calories while having fun, while the other like to sit in their houses and enjoy their own company.
Without any doubt, being the world’s most popular and the most played game, soccer has a long history
of events. Just like how a successful person has a story, soccer holds its own too.

The history of this aim cannot be traced by anyone to a definite time. Most people trace it back to be as
old as 3000 years. It is the most popular game around the globe, having almost every country a team
playing this game. The game is also known as football in many countries. The first football or soccer club
started in England after 150 associations came together to for a soccer association.

Like every great thing, this game also started somewhere and since its advent, the game has gained
international popularity around thew globe. Some major events of this sport are what we will discuss
today.

Here are 5 altering events and major milestones that happened in the history of soccer:

In the 50 B.C. China’s players of their (at that time) famous game Tsu Chu and Japan’s famous game
Kemari players were the very first ones to have an International game of their version of soccer. This was
the first time when a game, under the rules of soccer and its name was played. This is where the basic
origin is said to be started, even though it is not confirmed but this event has said to be the most
important for its origin.

Being a banned game in the 1400s in England, a couple of hundred years later it was unbanned and, in
the USA, for the very first time, soccer was played among famous universities like Howard and Princeton,
etc in 1820. Fast forward to some years in the same century, the first soccer club was formed just outside
England called THE ONEIDA SOCCER CLUB. During this time, the rules were standardized and the
standardized version was adopted by all the schools and colleges. This event set the rhythm of how
soccer should be played and was declared as a legal sport.

Even though soccer was banned by England’s Queen Elizabeth 1, it is England who gave soccer its name.
It was played under a set of rules and regulations but the rules and regulations weren’t given a name.
After, it being just a game, the name made it out in the world.

The first international game match played by anyone other than Britain was between USA and Canada
which was played in Newark and was ended with Canada winning. 1-0. Being the first game that was
internationally played, soccer made its way to people’s hearts.

In 1930, FIFA (The Federation Internationale de Football Association) was introduced into the world.
Being recognised by France, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland, FIFA held soccer's
first World Cup tournament in Montevideo, Uruguay, with 13 teams. This event changed the whole
course of soccer. With almost the whole world recognising soccer as a valid and a legal game, it was
finally given the recognition it deserved.
These events have made soccer the living example of utter joy that it is now. Spreading health and
happiness into our young youth that are so attached to cell phones right now, has to be one of the main
reasons for it to BE THE BEST! If we look closely, soccer is the only thing that makes these young
generations to go out and play outdoor games, making their bodies not-to-go-lazy.

Soccer is a game that is played in almost every country, by almost all the young boys (and some girls too)
since centuries. With having no idea of when and how it originated, soccer is without a doubt, a global
sport, keeping together all the races and genders in the world. So many countries play this game, calling
them with the name of their own. Speaking statistically, according to a survey, soccer is played by almost
4 million people across the world. For these statistic reasons, it holds the title of being the most popular
game in the world.

Unlike other sports, you do not have to buy a lot of expensive equipment to just play this game. With the
world being a scary place to live because of the fact that it solely survives on money, one can say that
soccer is not a toughie. In order to play soccer, all you need is a ground and a ball. Even though
international players do require a uniform to play and that can be expensive, if you are playing soccer
just for the fun of it, then you have nothing to worry about. This is the very main reason why, 250 million
people around the world play it.

It is the most popular game because not only does it keep the societies, races and communities together
but also for the fact that it has a universally positive experience. For these reasons, this simple game
made it to a widespread influence that is FIFA, making it more than ever known to people.
