Career Goals

Through many years of work experience, I have taken a strong interest in business and

how business operations function day-to-day, and the marketing behind promoting and

expanding a business. With so many career options in this industry to choose from, they all seem

to have similar personal skills to have a successful career. For a person to be successful in

business, it requires the ability to make decisions, be a leader, communicate, has interpersonal

skills, and problem-solve. Although I naturally have some of these skills, and with education

specific to the business industry, it only contributes to a strong foundation for future success. My

short-term goal is to continue pursuing my Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree in Business

Administration and apply what I have learned in my courses to my current work environment.

After earning my A.A. degree, my goal is to transfer to a four-year institution to earn a bachelor's

degree in Marketing. Following acquiring my bachelor's degree, my long-term goal would be to

continue working for my current employer in the marketing and communications department. I

would have the ability to collaborate with employees and colleagues while helping the

organization with continuous growth. While supporting the organizations' growth, I would also

like to grow personally within the marketing department with position advancement. Earning a

degree will unquestionably help with achieving this goal.
