Outdoor Gear and Bike Swap Comes to Loveland May 30

Community members invited to kick off summer at this garage sale style event hosted by
Loveland Parks and Recreation in downtown Loveland
LOVELAND, Colo. – April 15, 2020 – The Outdoor Gear and Bike Swap will come to downtown
Loveland to provide area residents with an easy way to buy, sell, and swap summer outdoor
gear. The swap will be held in the Foundry Plaza 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on May 30. The event is free and
open to the public.

The swap—which will also feature live music, bike mechanics, food trucks and a bicycle poker
ride—is an affordable opportunity for community members looking to clean out their garages,
pick up a new hobby or upgrade their equipment. Community members will be on-site selling
their gear and bikes from vendor booths, which can be purchased at the event web page.

“We saw the success of the annual Ski and Sports Swap hosted in the fall and wanted to create
another way for community members to easily connect to buy and sell equipment that they
have or need,” said Elizabeth Kayl, director of City of Loveland Parks and Recreation.

“The Outdoor Gear and Bike Swap is designed to be an event where community members can
buy gear to connect with the beautiful Colorado outdoors—whether it’s their first-time
exploring Colorado or their hundredth time,” said Kerry Helke, recreation coordinator for City of
Loveland Parks and Recreation. “This event also allows the community to sell gear that they no
longer need without hassle.”

This event is a partnership between the City of Loveland Parks and Recreation department and
the Loveland Downtown District. More information (including how to register for a vending
booth) and updates about the Outdoor Gear and Bike Swap can be found at
