Larena, Siquijor. These elephant tusks were said to have been originated from Lusaka, Gambia
Africa. The trade in elephant tusks is prohibited under the Convention on the International Trade
in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). After conducting surveillance and
investigation, you were able to confirm that the report is valid. What are you going to do?

Case Study No. 2.

You received a report that a certain Edward Stevens is engaged in the buying and selling of
geckos in Banban, Siquijor, Siquijor. It was reported that Mr. Stevens buys these geckos for
2,000 to 8,000 pesos, depending on their size. The residents in the area are reported to be
involved in the trapping and catching of these animals so they can sell them to Mr. Stevens. It
was also reported that these animals are being kept in cages in his residence in Brgy. Banban,
Siquijor, Siquijor. After conducting surveillance and investigation, you found out that the report

arrival in the area to take custody of the captured python, some residents reported that they
suspected that the python escaped from the townhouse of a certain Bong Go Aquino who is
reported to be keeping snakes, iguanas and mynah birds in his residence. After conducting
surveillance and investigation, you found out that the report is valid. What are you going to do?

Case Study No. 4 “

received a report that a crocodile was roasted during the Fiesta celebration of Barangay
Banaybanay, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental. A picture of the roasted crocodile was posted in a
social media - Facebook account name “Sau Ru” with the person of interest identified as Mr.
Zaldy Rosario. After conducting surveillance and investigation, your team immediately
proceeded in the area and there you saw the crocodile that is being roasted by the residents. What
are you going to do? Provide the step by step process for the arrest of the violator and the search

Case Study No. 5 –

You are a member of the Wildlife Enforcement Officer assigned in Dumaguete City. You
received a report that Ms. Juana dela Cruz, the owner of storage warehouse in Dumaguete City,
is engaged in trading of wildlife. According to the informant, Ms. Dela Cruz has several birds,
mammals and reptiles, including endangered species such as the black palm cockatoo and blue-
naped parrot and these are being kept in her warehouse. After conducting surveillance and
investigation, you found out that the report is valid. What are you going to do? Provide the step
by step process for the search of her warehouse and seizure of the wildlife, and the arrest of Mr.

Flying bat was also posted. What are you going to do? Provide the step by step process for the
