SUMMER CLASS FOR KIDS_WEEK 3

Duration: from 8:30 a.m-11 a.m


The 1st class from 8:30 a.m-9:45 a.m.
The 2nd class from 9:45 a.m-11 a.m

Date: 4 July 2019

Venue: I Can Cam 1

Level of students: Starters

Size: 25-30 students/each class

Objectives: After the class, student will:

+ learn the lesson with fun activities

+ have chances to interact with native teacher

+ build up team work skill

+ improve their pronunciation

+ practice their presentation skill

Week 3_Topic: Animals-Go to the zoo


Warm-up activity: Teacher lets Ss make a circle, each of student will say a name of an animal (different
from each other) until they do not know or do not remember any animals. The winner is the one who
knows more animals.

Activity 1: Go to the Zoo. Each group of 5 students will be given a HANDOUT 1 and they will work in
Group to Go to the zoo first.

Activity 2: Mc Donald has a farm:

- First: students will listen to the song and choose the animal they can hear teacher will
sing/open the audio file to check.
- Second: Teacher practices for the students to sing the songs and stimulate the sounds of the
animals.
- Then: Each of team will be sing and make the sound of the animal they were assigned by
teacher.

Activity 3: Team work (Group of 5 students) Hidden pictures

Note: + Staff at I Can Cam will prepare teaching aids and handouts for teacher-in-charge.

+ TA will support the teacher during the class and keep the arts and crafts school things.
HANDOUT 1:

Go to the zoo
Aim:
To help students review colors and numbers as well as learns new animal vocabulary
Vocabulary: elephant, octopus, lion zebra, colors
Grammar and functions:
I see…, Adjective (color) + Noun (animal)
Materials needed:
+Printed template
+Scissors
+Crayons
+Glue
Time: 60 minutes

1. Warm-up (10 ms):


+ Introduce the animal vocabulary and the way and how go to the zoo

2. Procedure (35 ms):


+Print out the template
+Divide class into small groups ( 4-5 students for each group)
+Give the handout and instructions for class

+Let student start to go to the zoo. The winner is the group goes to the zoo first
3. Post activity (15 ms):
+ Ask students say the structures “ I see…”, Ex: I see a yellow octopus, I see a brown
elephant…
