An  ideal  ERP  should  include  features  which  promote  integration  and  flexibility 
while  focusing  on  providing  ease  and  efficiency  to  the  client.  Top  features  which 
may lead to these results are -  

Mobile application plus web portal for easy accessibility -  

The  ERP  should  be  accessible  to  all  the  stakeholders  easily  through  the  mobile 
application or web page, in multiple languages and easy to use GUI.  
It  should  include  a  parent  and  student  section  separately  for  all  such  required 
operations like - payment of fee, student results, student feedback, etc.  

 
Task and class scheduling for the faculty and administrative employees - 

A  section  to  create  the  class  timetable,  work  schedule,  leave  management, class 
swapping,  etc  should  be  included  so  that  all  employees  and  students  are  on  the 
same page regarding the schedules and there is no confusion.  

 
 
New admissions portal -  

A  separate  section  should  be  included  for  all  the  prospective  students  of  the 
institution.  This  would  include  registration  fee  management,  online  selection 
tests,  interview  scheduling  and final offer generation. Thus streamlining all these 
tedious jobs which generally require a lot of paperwork.  
 
Employee management, dashboard, and feedback mechanism - 

An  important  feature  should  be  that  the  management  gets  all  the  information 
regarding  the  employees  (leaves,  performance,  feedbacks,  etc)  in  a  centralized 
manner supported by a dashboard for better understanding and analysis.  
Including  an  online  portal  for  students,  guardians,  colleagues,  and  seniors  to 
provide feedback of the employees.  
 
Online education plus​ ​library & resource management -  

Given  that  the  world  is  moving  towards  online  education  at  a  pace  faster  than 
ever,  the  ERP  should  include  a  section  for  the  students,  faculty,  and  parents  to 
access  all  the  online  resources  of  education  available  (Books,  videos,  podcasts, 
audio-books,  articles,  etc).  Plus  there  should  be  a  section  of live online teaching 
and interaction between the faculty and students.
