1. Why might the background information above lead you to question the photograph’s
reliability as evidence of the dangers of child labor at the time?

Because the information of the photo is not very expanded, and it just give us basic
information about the place and the photographer.

2. What is one aspect of the photo that might lead you to question its reliability as
evidence of the dangers of child labor at the time?

we can see the danger through the clothes and the conditions in which the child was. The
image shows us a child who looks dirty with a lot of dust on his clothes, we can see his face,
which is also very dusty and with mud. Due to the dust, children used to get lung diseases
and lead to death. So, with this we can conclude that it was dangerous.

3. What is one thing you would want to know about Lewis Hine or how he took this photo
to better determine its reliability?

I would like to know how the process was to take the pictures, and how did he react when he
saw all the children working.
