 PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Corona Virus or also known as Covid-19 is spreading fast worldwide. It

affects the people health and life; we can no longer socialize in normal ways unlike from
the past few years because of the pandemic. In order to flatten the curve or the
spreading of the virus, the WHO or Word Health Organization advised all the people to
put a designated distance between each other.

Social distancing should always be maintained and practiced in all public places
for us not to or lessen/prevent the spreading of the virus while the vaccines are being
developed. The WHO gives a specific distance which is one meter away from one
person to another to avoid a possible spreading of the virus. The social distancing
device alarm that was composed of a Bluetooth module like HM-10 will greatly help in
this time of pandemic in order to prevent the transmission of the Covid-19. HM-10 is a
34-pin module. In them most are not compulsory use pins. We only need four pins of all
34 to establish a communication. As mentioned earlier, the communication with this
HM-10 module is done through UART interface or RS232 Interface. The data is sent to
the module or received from the module though UART interface. Module is used where
short distance wireless communication is needed. The module is used for wireless
communications of less than 100 meters. It is preferred where power consumption is
issue. HM-10 MODULE is designed by BLE chip so it consumes very less power to
function. So the module can be used on mobile systems. It is also a cheap module so it
can be installed in low cost systems. The module uses UART communication and so it
can be interfaced with almost all controllers or processors.

The social distancing alarm will trigger whenever the person is violating
the one meter distance safety protocol, it will trigger because the frequency range of the
module detects another module that enters and violate the distance that is programmed
in the Arduino micro-controller. The alarm is consisting of piezo buzzer which will give
the sound when the alarm is triggered.
