Topic: Dental implantation: types of dental implants, indications,

contraindications, examination of the patient.
The content of the lesson: Varieties and requirements for implantation material.
Classification of dental implants. Indications, absolute and relative
contraindications to dental implantation. Examination of patients for dental
implantation.

2. The total lesson time is 315 minutes.

3. Motivational characteristics of the topic. Dental implantation, one of the

progressive directions of modern dentistry, which allows to rehabilitate patients
with full or partial adentia. Modern methods and technologies of dental
implantation are extensive and diverse. There are many implantation systems for
various clinical situations. Therefore, dentists should know the basic ideas about
the types of dental implants, their size and design, indications and
contraindications for dental implantation, as well as methods for examining a
patient before implantation.

4. The purpose of the lesson: to get acquainted with the materials used for
dental implants and study the requirements for them, study the types of dental
implants, analyze the methods of examination of patients before implantation, to
get indications and contraindications for dental implants.

5. Objectives of the lesson:

5.1. To study the requirements for implantable biomedical material.
5.2. To study the types and types of dental implants.
5.3. To study the features of the history taking before implantation, to determine
the indications and contraindications for dental implantation.
5.4. To study methods of examination of patients before implantation.
