and perform the lab.

Lab- Auto Scaling.


Tasks
1. Create Launch Configuration. (follow the pdf to create Launch configuration)
2. Create Auto Scaling group (Follow all step mentioned in pdf)
1. Create Launch configuration
1. Just see on left hand side of your Ec2 dashboard you will get launch configuration

1. Click on launch configuration you will get below screen

1. Type launch configuration name | 2. Select the AMI from “ Choose an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) “ | 3. Select
instance type T2.Micro

4. Do not change anything in additional configuration and Storage part | 5. Create new SG with any name

6. Create new Key pair with any name and download it (Note Location) and save it | 7. create launch configuration

1. After creating launch configuration it will look like below

2. Create Auto Scaling group


After creating launch configuration go the Auto Scaling Group from your Ec2 Dash board

1. Click Create Auto Scaling group and we have to complete all the 7 steps|2.Type Auto Scaling group name (Type any
name) |3. Select Launch configuration template from Switch to Launch configuration (Which we was created in above
steps) |4. Click on next

1. Select default subnet | 2. Select Subnet 1 and Subnet 2 (in which your ec2 instance will be created |3. Click on Next
and complete the step 2

1. In step 3 do not change anything and click on Next (Will do changes in next lab)

1. in step 4 configure group size with Desired capacity 1, minimum capacity 1 and maximum capacity 4 | 2. Don’t do
any changes in Scaling policies | 3. Don’t do anything in Instance scale-in protection |4. Click on Next

1. In step 5 don’t do anything and click on next

1. In step 6 don’t do anything just click on next

1. In Step 7 review everything click on create auto scaling group.

1. Once you will click on Create Auto Scaling group it will look like this

1. Once this auto scaling group policy will run it will automatic create the Ec2 instance

1. If you want more number of Ec2 instance you can update the auto scaling group policy

1. Click on edit and type your desired 3, minimum 1 and maximum 5 capacity and click on up date

1. When policy will run and when you refresh the Ec2 Dash board you will get desired number of Ec2 instance i.e

Note:
1:Depends on your desired capacity you can modify the policy and you can see number of Ec2 instance in
Dashboard.
2: If you want to delete, you can delete Ec2 instance also, just change the desired capacity and check the output.
