ACTING VICE CHANCELLOR
Dear All,
It is heartening to see BITS Hyderabad completing ten years of the foundation
stone laying on the 28th of April, 2016. It has been a great journey of successful
team work with seamless support from the management, government
departments, staff, students, and alumni. From academics, infrastructure
building, student and community activities, visit of VVIPs to the campus, various
compliances, international admissions, various collaborations, Technology
Business Incubator et al, each visible and invisible aspect of this campus makes
it an iconic landmark in the city of Hyderabad. This wouldn’t have been possible
without the support and cooperation of the management, student and teaching
fraternity, government departments, and of course, BITS alumni.
BITS alumni have significantly contributed to the growth and development
of BITS Pilani in several respects; be it in infrastructure building like
BITSConnect 1.0, BITSConnect 2.0; be it in establishment of Practice School
stations, or inPlacements. The most significant contribution is the creation
of entrepreneurial spirit and related activities at all campuses of BITS, and
fortunately, I had the great opportunity of working with them in most activities.
Now on this 10th Foundation Day of BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus, I heartily
acknowledge BITSians in Civil Services for all their contributions including their
valuable support in building the Hyderabad campus which have really been
viewed noteworthy. In this context, we thought it would be most appropriate
to express our gratitude, and to felicitate them on this 10th Foundation Day for
their invaluable contributions. This is the first-of-this-kind to create a group
BITSians in Civil Services which will go a long way in connecting people in several
services with theiralma mater, so that a mutually beneficial relationship can be
established.I am also happy to note that BITSian in Civil Services profile is being
brought out on this occasion.
