and Communica on Solu ons

Who we are

Shark Marine Technologies Inc. is the undisputed leader in Diver Held Naviga on and Sonar imaging
systems for EOD, Combat Diver Naviga on systems and Rapid Beach Profiling / Rapid Environmental
Assessment systems world wide. Shark Marine also specializes in Remotely Operated Vehicles, Diver
Delivery Systems, Video Systems, Sonar Systems, Tether Management Systems and So ware
Applica ons.

How we got here

Shark Marine Technologies inc. was founded in 1984, with the mandate to provide cost effec ve, high
quality products and solu ons for sub sea industries. Shark marine’s early developments includes some
of the first portable helmet mounted video cameras and suppor ng topside equipment for commercial
diving, now a standard piece of equipment.

Shark Marine began developing Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) se ng ourselves apart from the
compe on by crea ng fully modular systems with the ability to adapt to any task. This along with
adapta on of plas cs and composites in the vehicles construc on and an
innova ve transversal thruster arrangement, again set us apart as a leader.

In 2006, the Navigator handheld naviga on and imaging device was created. The Navigator has become
a game changer for many militaries and how they perform underwater
opera ons. The crea on of the Navigator and it’s accompanying so ware, DiveLog,
revolu onized underwater naviga on and imaging, allowing divers to see in zero visibility and know
precisely where they are, providing a whole new level of situa onal awareness.

Shark Marine products have been imitated but never replicated. With our industry leading product
quality and customer centric service we con nue to produce some of the most innova ve solu ons.

The crea on of industry firsts like the Navigator, paired with Shark Marine’s outstanding
reputa on for quality, elevated Shark Marine to where we are today; a leader in underwater
technology and supplier of solu ons to military, commercial divers, scien sts and law enforcement
around the globe.

Why did we develop the Navigator, Dive Tablet 2 and E-TAC?

Shark Marine Technologies Inc. has a long history of working with Military Divers and Law
Enforcement throughout the world. Although these diver’s training is second to none, Shark
Marine no ced a problem, divers were le to feel for their targets in zero visibility. Shark Marine
recognized a need for a device which would allow divers to navigate and see underwater regardless
of the condi ons, a device that would increase the diver’s safety, awareness, accuracy and allow
them to focus on the task at hand.

Why consider Shark Marine as your partner?

Throughout product development Shark Marine con nues to work with our customers, going so far
as a ending exercises, par cipa ng in harbor surveys, ship hull inspec ons, explosive remnant of
war searches and Rapid Beach Profiling trials to gain a deeper understanding of what the
equipment is needed to do. We also con nue to add accessories or features to these products as
our customer’s requirements evolve.

DiveLog is the heart of many of Shark Marine’s product lines. It integrates mis-
sion planning, post processing, report genera on, naviga on, sonar control,
video, communica ons and vehicle control into one simple to use, intui ve
so ware. Un l DiveLogs introduc on operators would have to learn a different
so ware for each piece of equipment or task, greatly increasing the complexity
and chance of human error, or missing data.

Mapping and Target Marking

DiveLog works with most standard map formats, as well as ESRI Shapefiles,
DXF files, and Google Earth .kml files. Operators can also create their own
Map files within DiveLog using satellite images, arial photography or any
drawings or images with a few known posi ons. These maps serve as
reference for the operator and can aid in the placement of routes and search
grids.

Operators can create survey grids or waypoint routes within the so ware or
import these from other mission planning so ware such as MINTACS, COIN,
HyPACK and others.
Targets can be imported from other mission planning so ware, entered
manually or marked on any ac ve screen in DiveLog. When a target is marked
in DiveLog the system calculates its exact loca on, depth and saves full resolu-
on screenshots as well as snippets of the sonar file into the target folder.

Sub-NET

.HTML Report Genera on

Data in DiveLog projects can be played back in any version
of DiveLog, it can also be exported for use in other
so wares such as MINTACS or COIN.

DiveLog can also generate a .HTML Target report. This

report will show the divers sonar or sensor coverage, and
informa on about each target marked including images,
video and sonar snippets. The .HTML report is viewable
using any computers web browser.

Rapid Beach Profiling System

The Rapid Beach Profiling System is a DiveLog Module that

allows a swimmer, diver or surface cra to rapidly
collect bathymetric data and generate profiles of a beach
or poten al landing zone.

The RBPS module u lizes its own routes which can be

quickly set up pre mission, or on the fly. Collected data
will be displayed along the divers track as color coded
blocks and can viewed as a profile, with vessel dra , and
de levels also displayed.

When using RBPS the operator can

perform beach profiles and search
for mines or obstruc ons at the same
me using Forward Looking Sonar.

22
