row! Each activity is worth 10 points for 30 points total. The center spot is free, meaning
you can choose an activity outside of the board to complete. Make sure your idea is
approved by the teacher before you begin. Boxes with a mean it involves group work.
Rewrite “The Scarlet Ibis” to
have any ending you want. This
can be brief, 1-2 paragraphs
total.

significant to the story and your

- Who was there?

incident?

Many characters are not
adequately described in “The
Scarlet Ibis.” Draw a picture of
each character (Narrator,
Doodle, Mom, Dad, the Ibis) and
label them.
Underneath, write 3-4 sentences
on why you chose to draw them
the way you did. If necessary,
quote from the story to support
your decisions.
Pick any setting in “The Scarlet
Ibis” and go into more detail
about the scene. What are the
sights, sounds, smells, etc?
Give more depth to the setting
by providing your interpretation
of what the setting looks like.
Answer in 2-3 paragraphs and
provide a little doodle of what
you pictured below ( it does not
need to be pretty, just a little
drawing is fine).
Create a Twitter account for any
character in the story. Post at
least 5 tweets and 2 pictures
about their daily life. This could
include pictures of their home, of
certain scenes in the book, etc.
Please include at least 2 tweets
that relate to a topic we
discussed (family, love, guilt,
pride, ambition, etc).
