Photosynthesis is the process where energy from the sun is used to make glucose.

Photosynthesis occurs in the chloroplast.

Chloroplasts are organelles found in the leaves of green plants and they produce
glucose during photosynthesis.

Chloroplasts produce glucose during photosynthesis and store food energy.

Most leaves appear green because chloroplasts contain the pigment, chlorophyll.

Chlorophyll.
6CO2 + 6H20 + (energy) → C6H12O6 + 6O2

Carbon dioxide, water and energy from the sun.

The water comes from the ground through plant roots.

The water enters the plant through the roots.

Living organisms, car exhausts, factory smokestacks.

The plant uses energy from the sun.

Glucose is produced in photosynthesis.

Glucose is used for food.

Oxygen is used for the air we breathe.

Plants use energy from the sun to change CO2 from the air with water from the
ground into glucose and this process happens in the chloroplast of the plant cell.
Oxygen is created as a waste product in this process. The reactants are CO2, water
and energy from the sun. The products are 02 and glucose and the equation is 6CO2
+ 6H20 + (energy) → C6H12O6 + 6O2.
In the mitochondria, chemical reactions involved in cellular respiration happen.

The purpose of the process above is to create energy for the cell.

In order to generate energy, they must rely on eating plants and other animals.

Cellular respiration creates energy for cells.

Carbohydrates are broken down to release the energy.

THe chemical energy in the cell is called ATP.

ATP stands for adenosine triphosphate.

One product of cellular respiration is carbon dioxide.

Animals get rid of the CO2 through breathing it out, and the respiratory system
removes this waste.
