8. Mr. Hamza, Mr. Umar and Mr. Arsh started a business of renting a car. They purchased a
black Toyota car and installed a special counter in it to trace the distance travelled by their
clients. They charge $2 for each km from their clients.
For example, If the counter reads 541 before the journey and 550 after the journey, then the
distance travelled by the car is 550 – 541 = 9 km. and the rent charged would be 2 × 9 = $18
On a certain day, the car was rented. The counter reading before the departure to the customer
was 1648 and at the time of arrival it was 1698.
