Why does a Pakistani

Army Doctor
urgently need to speak with
you?
FROM THE DOCTOR’S DESK

CAPT. DR. DANIYAL ABBAS

Dear Shiv and Adil,

I’ve just finished another night shift at the hospital… but I wanted to make sure I send
my thoughts to you before I do anything else.

I believe this will be one of the most important messages you have ever received (so
far).

It’s about your business… your new Copywriting Mastery Mentorship Program… and…
most importantly… the operations manager role that you’re hiring for.

My name is Daniyal Abbas and I’m what some people call the “army med copywriter”.

I’m 24 years old, from Pakistan, working as a medical doctor in a hospital and in the
army where I trained as a combat medic.

Plus I’m an email copywriter.

Being a regular subscriber of your emails… I received your email today... saw there is a
chance to work with you and Adil and couldn’t help but write this letter.

But none of this matters right now.

What matters is that I’ve something of the utmost importance that I want to share with
you.

And I know it seems a little odd to be receiving a letter for a new position but hey
how many people send a letter instead of CV?

Plus I don’t have a resume (or traditional CV) and I don’t like the idea of copy pasting my
LinkedIn profile

I thought of swiping someone’s already written stuff but honestly I couldn’t find anything.
The closest thing I found was a John Carlton letter but it was selling a medical product in
Christian markets (I remember Gary Halbert did something for his own dating life but
can’t find the letter)…

Ok… Ok… I’m going on a tangent here… Let’s rewind and come back to the job
proposal.

What do you get when you hire me?

You’re talking about someone who brings you the best of three worlds.

Let me explain...

I’m talking about someone who:

➡ Trained in the army, been through hellish training programs and knows the
importance of word discipline and routine… You are quickly kicked out of the
army if you don’t have them

➡ Studied in medical school and became a doctor… You can’t study without a
solid work ethic

➡ Practicing, treating and interacting with patients daily… I am responsible for

the lives of my patients… So, you can be assured that I know what it means to be
responsible for something

What makes me perfect for this role?

⏩ I live in Pakistan and it’s 5 hours ahead of U.K time that means it’s very easy for
me to be available between 9 am to 5 pm UK time (2 pm to 10 pm Pakistan
time)

I usually work at the night shift so working during the day is not a problem for me.

⏩ I’m looking for a long-term position that’s why instead of writing copy for a client
I’m writing a letter to you instead.

⏩ The Army taught me to love routine while the life of a doctor showed me how to
live with the chaos… So you can say I’m chaotically disciplined
⏩ Like I said earlier, I’m a doctor that means I have to be on the job at the correct
time and I can’t miss a call otherwise the patient will suffer… I can’t help but be
reliable and dependable

⏩ I started working as a copywriter because I wanted more out of life… That meant
growing beyond my comfort zone and venturing into the unknown… As much as
I’m looking for feedback I despise being spoon-fed plus you can’t do much if
you’re being spoon-fed all the time

⏩ Army is all about SOPs and workflows and as army doctors we have to create
them to ensure smooth running of a hospital… Plus it helps that I’m the go-to guy
for creating SOPs and workflows where I work

⏩ As a doctor, you have to prove your worth if you want more and better work
so I understand the concept of getting more work and responsibility after proving
myself.

⏩ I did my medical studies in English, I’ve visited England and Ireland with and
without family plus I believe that I’m great at it or at least better than other people
around me

⏩ If you see more than 250 patients per day then you learn to become much
more tolerant and patient than the rest of population so I’m ok with getting
hired slow (but don’t make it months)

⏩ I’m writing a letter to you, addressing each and every single point that you put
out… How much more friendly and chill do I need to be? JK. If I was a
highly-strung, tightly-wound pain in the ass I would have just submitted a CV or
something and that would have been it.

Plus, I’ve gone through a lot of copy programs, been a regular of this industry,
know the top players and have studied what they have done.

I know that you’re going to hire for this position asap.

That’s why it was really important that I reach out to you today.

I ignored my dinner break (writing this letter in between) and my night break (editing this
letter in between) for that

With all of that said,

Here’s Why I Want To Work With You Guys:

➢ You give a decent pay, £1k/month is more than double the salary I get here for
working as a doctor so that is obviously a huge factor.

➢ Who wouldn’t want to work from home in his sleeping suit? (I’m joking)

➢ I want to become a better copywriter and marketer and you two are the best to
learn from

➢ I’m getting married this year and I want a stable income while I grow and evolve
further for my wife.

I know you are busy people who have lots and lots of stuff to do.

Thanks for reading this letter and considering me for the role.

I’ll be waiting for the link to the zoom call interview in my mailbox. In fact I’ll be looking for
it every hour.

Your sincerely,

Daniyal Abbas
