In Western countries, people spend a lot of money on their pets.

They buy special food and toys for their cats and dogs and often
pay high fees for medical treatment(მკურნალობა). Some people
think this is a waste(ფლანგვა) of money, and argue that pets are
dirty and dangerous.

In many Western countries people are fond of keeping pets. However,

others say that pets are often dangerous and aggressive.
Personally, I think that people can benefit from(სარგებლობა,ხეირი) pets
in many ways(მრავალნაირად). First of all, animals are usually devoted
to(ერთგული,თავდადებული) their owners(პატრონი) and love them.
You will hardly(ძლივს, თითქმის არ გრძნობს)) feel lonely(მარტო) and
depressed if you have a pet. Secondly, pets help people stay healthy.
For example, doctors have found out(გაგება,მიხვედრა,აღმოჩენა) that
people who have high blood pressure(წნევა) feel much better when
they stroke(მოფერება) pets and talk to them. What is more,(უფრო
მეტიც) pets encourage( გამხნევება,მოტივირება)their owners to get out
and exercise. Dog owners usually spend much time walking which helps
them improve(გაუმჯობესება) their overall health. It is a well-known fact
that people who have pets are happier and live longer than those who
don't.
But/However, many people say that they are too busy to take care of
animals. Others think that it is too difficult and time-consuming to keep
pets. Cats, dogs, birds, fish, hamsters(ზაზუნა) and other
creatures(არსება,ქმნილებ) require(მოითხოვს) not only human love and
kindness but also food, medical care, training(გაწვრთნა) and
shelter(თავშესაფარი). You must feed them regularly, keep them clean,
go to the veterinarian for their yearly checkup and so on. It takes much
effort(ძალისხმევა) and causes extra expenses(დამატებითი ხარჯები).
It is also obvious(ცხადი,ნათელი) that animals make a lot of noise, may
look untidy and disturb(შეწუხება) the members of your family.
To conclude, it's important to realize that owning a pet is a great
responsibility(პასუხისმგებლობა) and additional(დამატებითი) work.
However, for most people, the advantages(უდადებითი) of having a pet
outweigh(გადაწონის) the disadvantages(უარყოფითი მხარე). Anyway,
everybody must(უნდა) remember that all pets need love and
care(მოვლა) just as people do.
