There is no denying that teenagers get more influence by their friends than their parents.

The reason
for that is because they spend more time with their friends. That’s quite normal to get influenced by
people who you spend more time with.

You have probably already found that friends with whom you share a deep connection with may
naturally like many of the same clothes too. For example, my best friend and I always exchange
picture messages in Instagram or other social medias about outfits. Of course, we also have friends
that dress different than us, perhaps not drastically, but noticeably different.

Studying is another example of how your friends influence you. My friends always had high priorities.
They have dreams of what they want to become in the future, and so do I. This sets a good example
of how if you have friendly surrounding you can always be motivated, even to study.

Teenagers seek freedom and hate it when parents try to impose restrictions on them. They find the
company of their friends more attractive because people of the same age groups have similar needs,
interests and tastes.

In conclusion, I totally agree with the statement that young people are more influenced by their
friends. However, I do not feel that this is a positive trend because friends are unlikely to have the
unconditional love that parents have for their children.
