Note to Teachers:

Thank you for purchasing this product! “World Religions - 10 Graphic Organizers and 4
Activities” was designed for use by World Religion and Social Studies/History teachers to help
students organize basic facts about the religions of the world that have the highest number
of adherents. The religions are organized in alphabetical order.

The organizers are designed so that students can do general research on each religion.
They will need access to books and the Internet in most cases. I have included some useful
websites below, as well as books I used to provide information in the Answer Key section. As
there is some contradictory data from source to source, I have tried to provide data that is
the most consistent and allow for some wiggle-room on dates, etc. I have also included a
template so that you or your students can add a religion simply by filling in the blanks on the
sheet. Please note that the “Origins” section on the Answer Key pages might contain more
information than you might actually require of the students! The world population numbers
of each religion is an estimate made by experts as it is impossible to name the exact number
of followers.

The organizers can be used for review, as group activities (or some or all could be assigned
to individual students), or could be completed as an independent study. Students may pick
and choose, or be assigned one or more religions by you. One organizer can be used to
begin a larger project. Working with the 10 organizers and the four activities, it is possible to
have up to 40 different assignments at hand and if the blank template is used, even more!

If you do find an error or a discrepancy in this product, please contact me directly on
