Figure 4 depits the increase in peemeability with increasing relative humidity for oti- ented strand board (OSB) and plywood samples (Kumaran 2002) Users ofthe dew-point method may use constant values found in ‘Table S. However, if condensation inte assembly is predicted, then more appropriate value should be used. Transient hygrothermal modeling typically uses vapor permeability values that vary with relative humidity. Vapor permeability of homogeneous materials an be caleulated from thickness and vapor permeance (as given in Table 6).
