What does it mean to be truly there?

This question that defines the most basic of how humans perceive reality.
Humans seem to not ponder this question.
There are most likely reasons for this, but if I were to pinpoint the most reasonable cause for
this I would say that it’s because humans simply don’t wish to know the answer.
Someone once said “Sometimes living in ignorance of one's situation brings out the most
enjoyment.”
If I were to be honest, humans have evolved to ignore these questions. The reason for this
would derive from the fact of helplessness and demotivation.
Think of it like this.
You have a loving wife, kids, you have an amazing job and live in a beautiful house debt free.
This ideal situation brings out the most happiness you could possibly feel.
But suddenly you open your eyes and realize everything was fake. You never had a family, you
never had a house and a well paying job. It never happened. Everything you had ever loved and
known was fake; it was a figment of nothingness.
Now if you had two options to either keep this knowledge and be forced to live with the reality of
the situation, or you can go back to this dream, forgetting everything about this realization and
waking back up in your house with your family.
Sensibly every sane human would choose option two, and there is a reason for this.
That reason is a sense of being There.
Humans want to have a feeling of worth and a Reason For Existence.
You might say, “is that not the answer to the brought up question?”
To that I have to respond with no.
The answer of the question lies within the two options provided earlier.
The second you chose to be with your family you lost the chance to answer the question
provided.
That reason is because when you returned to your peaceful life you ceased to be “there.”
You asked the question yet you were unwilling to let go of your sense of belonging in order to
answer the problem.
I wouldn’t expect you to choose an answer over a happy successful life because in the end what
really comes out of knowing the unknowable questions?
Is there really a reason to give up everything just to know the reason for existence?
So instead, you subconsciously decide that you don’t need to know this answer before you even
realize that this question even exists.
This is the reason why humans don't ponder this question.
But, for an unknown reason.
I still decided to find the answer.
I could try to explain it but you don’t need to know.
You have no reason to understand this and if you haven’t noticed already.
You instinctively are already trying to ignore this information.
I have already explained the reason for that but if you wish to know the answer and you think
you are able to understand then read my second book.
Now on to the point.
If you take anything away from this then just stop thinking about it. Humans' lives are short.
There is no reason to worry about these questions. You have a life to finish, if you die
tomorrow, or in fifty years it doesn’t matter. Humans were truly not meant to understand the
reasons for being. Do yourself and favorand forget you ever read this. Go back to your life and
continue on with your wife, kids, and beautiful house.
And don’t forget that sometimes ignorance is the only thing shielding you from the answer. So
do your best to ignore these things.
Because once you do find out you won’t forget. The answer is burned into my thoughts.
An unforgettable forgetfulness. A constant reminder of the answer to an unneeded question.
A torn down viel showing the gears to the imperfect machine that consists around you. A peek
into the jar.
A realization deriving from a simple answer to a simple question.
A broken guard.
A shattered shield.
A chosen path.
A lone decision.
A constant reminder.
A look at the reason.
All it takes is a little push from the inside to break the curtain.
An answer to a simple human fear.
“Are we truly there?”
