PURPOSE OF MEDICATION

Expected Pharmacological Action Therapeutic Use

Opioids agonist. Decrease in severity of chronic pain.
Binds to opiate receptors in the CNS, altering
the response to and perception of pain.

Complications Medication Administration

Confusion, sedation, weakness, dizziness, restless, Transdermal (adults): 25mcg/hr

Contraindications/Precautions
Hypersensitivy to fentanyl or adhesives. Patients who are
