PURPOSE OF MEDICATION

Expected Pharmacological Action Therapeutic Use

Diagnosis of myasthenia gravis. Assess. of Short-lived improvement in muscular function
adequacy of anticholinesterase therapy in in patients with myasthenia gravis. Reversal
myasthenia gravis. Differentiating myasthenic of nondepolarizing neuromuscular blocking
from cholinergic crisis. agents.

Complications Medication Administration

Seizures, dizziness, dysphasia, dysphonia, weakness, IV PUSH: diluent: adm undiluted
bradycardia, hypotension, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, with a tuberculin syringe,
dysphagia, excess salivation, vomiting, nausea, concentration: 10mg/mL.
incontinence, urinary frequency, sweating, rashes.

Contraindications/Precautions
Hypersensitivity, mechanical obstruction of the GI, GU.
May cause uterine irritability after IV ADM, near term,
