TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION 
 
Column x‐ray stand assembly 
The X‐ray column stand assembly is based on innovative technology to perform radiological 
examinations. 
The unit is completed of devices for: 
- Automatic alignment of the slave X‐ray source assembly with the detector bucky stand in 
vertical position 
- Maintenance of the pre‐set SID on the examination table  
- Optional  device  for  table  detector  automatic  alignment  with  horizontal  X‐ray  source  as‐
sembly both in AP and in oblique incidences  
The electromagnetic brakes assure linear movements while the permanent magnet brake is 
for rotation and vertical movement. There is a digital device for SID and incidence.  
When  chosen  the  optional  stitching  function,  it  is  required  a  column  stand  assembly  with 
motorized inclination. 
 
Examination table with adjustable height  
The examination table has an adjustable height from 55 to 85 cm with motorized control. 
Patient tabletop is floating in four directions:  
76 cm in longitudinal direction with 220 cm tabletop length 
96 cm with 240 cm carbon fibre tabletop length. 
Tabletop transversal travel is of 26 cm.  
The under‐table detector carriage is manually movable and can be automatically aligned to 
the X‐ray column stand assembly. The X‐ray beam projections can be perpendicular (AP) or 
with oblique incidences. 
The grid is easily interchangeable for proper focalization selection and there is a device for 
mounting the AEC chamber. The carbon fibre patient table top allows patients up to 250 kg 
(with limitations). 
The  foot  pedals  control  allow  up/down  motorized  motion,  and  table  top  electromagnetic 
brakes. 
 
Bucky stand 
The  bucky  stand  allows  movements  of  the  detector  with  manual  or  vertical  control,  for  a 
travel of 150 cm. 
The grid is easily interchangeable for a proper focalization selection and there is a device for 
mounting the AEC chamber.  
The brakes are electromagnetic negative polarized.  
Additionally, in case it is chosen an X‐ray room with optional stitching function, it is required 
a bucky stand with motorized vertical movement (option 5.1).

Collimation system 
The collimation system can be manual or automatic. In both cases, it is possible to choose a 
collimator with filters. 
The system has a square‐field X‐ray beam limiting system with automatic shutters positioned 
according to the selected exposure area and SID.  
Additionally,  there  is  a  variable  filtration  composed  of  three  filters  with  automatic/manual 
selection.  
Field reduction and manual operation of the system can be performed by two knobs and a 
set of pushbuttons placed on the front panel. 
The front panel is completed of a digital display for visualization of X‐ray field dimension, SID 
and additional filtration. 
 
Optional automatic reconstruction images device (stitching) 
Only with a motorized vertical bucky stand movement (optional bucky stand 5.1) it is possi‐
ble  to  couple  an  automatic  device  for  the  image  reconstruction  (stitching  device  ‐  option 
11.1). 
The  device  allows  the  execution  of  acquisitions  in  rapid  sequence  and  subsequent  recon‐
struction of the column or the lower body extremities with the aid of a combined digital sys‐
tem. This device allows the X‐ray column assembly clockwise and counter clockwise rotation 
around  the  horizontal  axis  to  allow  the  fully  automated  operations,  function  necessary  for
