How dance influences culture and tradition?


Dance is a social life. It is a cultural practice that most people treasure the most. It
has an important place in the society for it is part of our culture world. It is described as a
performing art form consisting of human movement in which has an aesthetic and symbolic
value. But dance isn’t just all about movement or expressive motives, it has so much more.
Dance isn’t just something you’ll do when you’re happy or sad; it isn’t just about being
expressive when you have the capacity to because it has a meaning of life. Dance has
various meanings and interpretations around the world. To all people, dance has different
values. But really, how do international dances influence the culture and traditions of
people around the world?

Dance influences everything around a social setting; in a community or society. It’s a


form of cultural expression and reflects the society in which it exists. It provides social
affirmation and means a lot of significant power, may it be national, or tribal loyalty. To
some, it could be part of religious rituals and other celebratory events. It has also something
to do with historical and cultural context of its people, as it illuminate and define gender,
forge personal and group identities and reflect and define political and religious status and
even aesthetic values.

Dances from different countries varies a specific meaning, it depends on the social
setting which it appears. Dance is part of a culture and it connects people around its place. It
establishes ties within various groups and tribes, even until today, it connects us from
within. It fulfils a lot of functions in our lives and culture, such as its potential to connect
people. It brings people closer and together.
