Intro: Good morning, sir! In this video, I will present the information or answers that I was able
to gathered from my chosen respondent. And later on, I will also try to react on the answered
given and eventually state my reflection. Lets start!

React1: Based on the given answer, she mentioned that in the new curriculum, students should
be really given adequate direction on how they could possibly learn and use the English
language effectively. She also added, the importance and advantages of having adequate
knowledge and fluency in the language because it is really necessary and a global requirement
when applying for a job. Well, I agree with her statement that it will be our advantage if we
know how to speak the language efficiency and with fluency. As it will unlock and open doors of
opportunities for us in the future if we can speak the language confidently. At last, based on
her statement, I felt like imposing English language in the curriculum is an urgency that school
should focus and look into.

React2: In question number two, she answered that she usually apply the Learner-Centered
teaching approach where her role as the teacher was a facilitator. She also answer that she
usually incorporate ict as her reinforcement in teaching. Furthermore, she also added that, she
facilitate learning tasks mostly that reflects localization and contextualization which allows
students to associate themselves based on their experiences or what is happening around
them. Personally, incorporating the power and influence of ict in teaching and learning process
will make the learning experience more effective and students can be more participative
because of the influence of technology. Especially, now that we are in the new landscape for
teaching and learning where most activities and discussions are digitally presented and I think
that is the influence and importance of ICT nowadays.

React3: In question number 3, she mentioned two common problems which she encounter the
most and these are lack of interest of students in reading and the hesitance to use and speak
the English language. I can relate so much on her answers because I also observe that some
students nowadays have a poor habits in reading due
to multiple distractions like social media or online games which results to poor performance in
reading comprehension, etc. I think this give extra challenge on the part of the teacher, on how
could they possibly divert or indulge students to develop a good habit in reading. Because there
are a lot of potential benefits in just simply reading books like it can help students discover
various sentence structures, it can help them improve their vocabulary and most especially they
can develop speech competency which help them to speak and express themselves using the
language confidently.

React4: In the last question, she suggested that simply developing a habit in reading will help
solve and address the issue she mentioned. In her last statement, she stated that if students
would develop that kind of habit our country will never be at the bottom again.

To sum it up, based on her answers on the given questions, I learned the importance of learning
and developing competency in the English language at the early stage. It was apparent, in most
of her answers the potential benefits of being proficient and effective in speaking the language.
However, it is not an easy task, it is something that requires critical observations, preparations
and processes. As such, I think this is something that most schools should focus on because
according to some studies, Philippines are always ranked at the bottom when it comes to
reading comprehension and proficiency in the language. As I mentioned a while back, maybe
the institution develop this new curriculum in order to address the low proficiency of students
in the language and maybe this is institution way to develop and produce caliber students who
are ready and prepare for the future. And as a future, this activity was really beneficial and
worth to do because through this activity I or we are able to know the current problems or
issues encounter in the English language, the proposed solutions and the approaches most
teachers to do address such issue.
