ABSTRACT

Endah Wahyuningrum, 61116045, 2019. The relation of nutrition Status with the
development of toddlers aged 1-3 years in Posyandu Kibing Village area of the
work center of Batu Aji Batam city in 2019.
Background: the development of toddlers especially occurring in the first 3 years
of life is often called the Golden Age or the golden period that lasts rapidly and is
very basic to create the quality of man on the next. Developments influenced by
some of them are nutrients. With nutrients will provide foods high in calories,
protein and sufficient vitamins-minerals to achieve optimal nutritional status. This
research aims to knows the relation of nutritional status with the development of
toddlers aged 1-3 years in the posyandu of kibing at The working area of Batu Aji
Batam Center in 2019.
Research method: This research is quantitative research with analytical survey
design with cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted in Posyandu
of Kibing village in October 2019. Sampling techniques are Accidental Sampling
with a sample number of 49 respondents. Univariate analysis is presented in
frequency distribution table and bivariate using Chi-square test with SPSS
system.
Results: From 49 samples gained 38 toddlers with a percentage (77.6%) Who are
experiencing good nutrition status. While 39 toddlers with a percentage (79.6%)
That are experiencing appropriate developments. Based on the results of statistic
test is known there is a relationship of nutritional status with the development of
toddlers aged 1-3 years in the Posyandu Kibing community work area Batu Aji
health centre Batam City in 2019 with the value P = 0.000 (< 0.05).
Conclusion: There is a significant relation between the status of nutrition with
the development of toddlers aged 1-3 years in the Posyandu Kibing Village area
of Batu Aji Health Center of Batam city in 2019.
