The picture seen below is a disclaimer sticker on a high voltage electric pole across a

street:

It is written “hazardous voltage will shock, burn or cause death…keep out. If open

or unlocked, immediately call 11-1037”. This electricity company is trying to avoid the

risks in case of burning, shocks or death caused by their pole. They further precise that in

the case of the pole being open or unlocked, the person seeing it should immediately call the

number on the sticker.

However, had the sticker not been stuck on the pole, and in the case of a person

unknowingly touching or coming into physical contact with the pole and either got burnt,

shocked or died, the company in question would have compensated that person or his close

family members by paying not only their hospital bills but also their medications or

prescribed drugs, or the burial rituals of that person.
