1.

How would you elaborate on the key principles that form the foundation of differentiating
instructions such as On-going, Formative Assessment, Recognition of Diverse learners,
Group work, Problem solving, Choice? Justify your answer.

-Implementing differentiate instruction in the classroom is a helpful way to encourage creativity in the students.
It was a product of in-depth planning and collaboration of teachers. These strategies was proven an effective
tool to motivate learners to learn in a more democratic and dynamic environment. In designing differentiated
instruction teachers were given a platform to monitor student progress and reteach topics or content to deepen
the learning because it comes also in a good teaching strategy to enhance everyday learning’s.

-Assessment is very important strategy in teaching because it gives teachers a view on how effective and
productive the lesson discussed. It also serves as a guide on what and how to improve their styles of teachings.
As to formative assessment, this shall be enhanced to direct students towards achieving mastery and
competence in the subject-matter. Another is recognition of diverse learners is one tough challenge for every
teachers because if they fail to achieve this it might affect the performance standing of each student. As
teachers, we should acknowledge and be reminded that there is always a different degree of learning for every
student. That as teachers we should provide and be creative to our lessons to settle differences. In terms of
group work, we should amplify this kind of activity in the classroom to enable students to work as team, to
promote work collaboration and be able to share their ideas to others because it gives them positive self-
validation. To conclude, problem enables student to think outside of their comfort zone. It excites learning in a
whole different level because this activity encourages learners to use their critical and logical capacity while
giving them a choice to reciprocate their learning confidently.

2. What particular instances that differentiated instruction can be localize implemented here in the
Philippines? How would you suggest to our local authorities especially in the academe to venture
this kind of emerging skill and methods in adapting this new process by which teachers and
students will be benefited as well?

- Countries who are economically stable most likely to have an effective education system because it reflects on
how much they invest to give and educate their citizens in the best possible ways they can. Base on the study,
these countries offer education with so much quality. That’s why to those categorized as developing countries,
they should benchmark on different practices in having quality education. Like in the case of Philippines in
2019 PISA poor result, this sends a deterrent message to our curriculum designers to recalibrate and rethink
their ways and on how to provide quality education.

-As per my experience as a math teacher, there’s no day that I can’t hear students that they hardly excel in math
or worst, heard them talking how they dislike math subject and even parents during card day speaking how
their children have lack of enjoyment in math class. Sadly we have today’s generation who are not very good in
maths or they’re not comfortable with numbers. So these issues gave me struggle on how to improve my
teaching strategies to encourage my students to love or at least have interest to my subject. This lead me to
rethink my ways to how to approach difficulties to each students in math by providing differentiated
instructions through group activity and more problem solving while giving them freedom to choose the level of
difficulty base on their capacity. These changes will equally uplift both students and teachers. To conclude, I
highly recommend to our authorities to have a plan that is unified and create more content especially design to
cater the needs of unique individuals.
