Mark: Congrats John with you new job.

John: Thanks Mark. I'm truly excited and happy about it. But I almost didn't
get it.
Mark: Why, what was the problem?
John: I got really nervous on the day from the interview. The woman that
interviewed me was tall and very good looking with an aggressive tone of
voice. She made some questions and I totally forgot what to say. But as
the conversation went along, I relaxed.
Mark: That is why you got the job, right? You told her that she was beautiful.
John: Forget it, don't even start!!!! I got the job because I studied
mathematics for years and I'm good at it.
Mark: Relax John I know that, I'm just joking. You're very ambitious, I know
you are going to master the subject.
John: I'm thankful for the kind words. I'm fascinated with numbers. I can't
wait to put the company in order.
Mark: When do you start?
John: I started three days ago, last Monday.
Mark: Really? Why didn't you tell me?
John: I didn't tell anyone. I just got so busy that I forgot to mention it.
Mark: What does a person need to be a good professional in your area?
John: You need to have a good eye for business, be focused and
independent. How's your job?
Mark: I have been working there for six months now. I like it very much. The
only thing I don't like about it is that I sometimes need to work overtime.

CURIOSITY

The Statue of Liberty is one well-known landmark. It's one of the most famous
and beloved icons in the world. But how well do you really know her? People
travel for miles to see this lady who owns her own island. The grandeur of the
statue may be impressive but it is the stories behind this lady that make her so
interesting, here are 6 fun facts you might not have known about the Lady in
the Harbor.

Her spiky hat is symbolic

Yes, each of the seven spikes on her crown represent the seven oceans and
the seven continents of the world. This is said to represent the universal
concept of liberty. It's not only about fashion!

She is actually French

Her head even spent some time in Paris at the World's Fair before it was given
as a gift to celebrate the centenary of the American revolution and the
Friendship among the two countries. That's cute, right?

The statue served as a lighthouse

If you were thinking she has no use and is just a big hunk of metal, think again,
she actually served as a lighthouse, guiding ships and sailors home after a
long trip on the ocean.

Her head isn't on properly!

In 1982, people discovered that the head had actually been installed 2 feet off
center. Whoopsie!

Why is she green?

The statue is green because of the oxidation of copper. It's not paint! The
metal is slightly damaged and corroded.

Measurements

The girl isn't that skinny. Being 35 feet across the waist and with a size 879
shoe, she really is on the larger side. Big is beautiful!
