Three tweets I found interesting/useful

I always find sight words somewhat difficult to teach in

ways that are more interactive and fun for the students,
almost in a disguise when it comes to learning and more
in the format through games and this tweet is such a great
resource when it comes to showcasing an array of
different ways to teach sight words in a manner that is
more interactive, multi-sensory and fun for students. I
know that this is something that is very useful being in
the primary grades.

A KWL learn chart is a great addition to any classroom and

is great when it comes to learning about different units and
can be used throughout and it is always amazing to see how
it can be integrated with technology in the classroom. I
think with everything that has been happening and the
integration of technology, this is a great way to have
students try a traditional method in a new-aged way that is
a little more interactive. Otherwise, displaying this in a
classroom and continuously adding to it is also a great
learning tool.

 Having an inclusive classroom is important to me and
this tweet had a great resource when it came to
helping students connect with members of the deaf
and hard-of-hearing community. Last year, I had a
little boy in my classroom whose parents were deaf
and he would he teach our class a new word or phrase
in sign language every week and eventually, our
students surprised his mom when she came to pick
him up one day and she was very surprised. The
knowledge of knowing that you are reflected in your
classroom is very important and I believe that this
tweet really helps teachers find the first steps in how
to become more inclusive within the classroom.

Two feeds I joined

Albeit less traditional, I find that Joe is great at doling out that teacher humour that we
sometimes need, and he has some great and very relatable content that will make you laugh out
loud and say, “Oh, I have been there.” Because we all need to smile sometimes, and I hope he is
able to do that for you like he does for me.
Even though Angelina is a high school teacher I find that a lot of her teachings can be adapted
for primary and she is a great place to go to when I want to include new literature, social justice
and global awareness into my lessons. She is a great source for inclusive and diverse education.
