Marriott International to Open First Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Belgrade

MARYLAND – March 17, 2021- Marriott International announced today its plans to open a Ritz-
Carlton hotel at the Belgrade Waterfront in Serbia. The opening marks the first Ritz-Carlton
hotel location in Serbia, redefining the local hotel scene with the brand’s embodiment of
luxury.
The hotel is scheduled to open to the public in April 2023.
The Waterfront location will deliver an upscale, full-service hotel inspired by modern Serbian
architecture. The hotel will feature 450 guestrooms and suites with a range of leisure facilities,
restaurants and a spa.

Lana Stanic, general manager of Marriott International’s Europe division says the hotel will be a
hotspot for both the public and travelers. “We are very excited to open the hotel in such a lively
location. The Waterfront attracts people who desire exceptional service and exclusive
experiences, so it makes perfect sense to open a Ritz-Carlton location here. There’s something
for everyone here, whether it be drinks on the hotel’s rooftop patio or a relaxing day at the spa.
The Belgrade Waterfront has already been become a prime tourist destination in recent years,
so we hope the opening will bring even more excitement.”
