 IV. Statement of Contribution

Please provide statement of 500-1000 words to explain why the publication reflected in section III
merits the award, describing the exceptional contribution with demonstrated impact and placing these
in the context of the contemporary professional developments as well as the careers of the
authors. It should address all the criteria for the award including; innovative ideas that advanced the
previous work done and lead to the new insight as well as highlighting socio-economic impact i.e.
resolution of a societal problem or creation of a product that benefits society – opening new areas of
research or stimulating other work that leads towards addressing social or global challenges.
Please note the language of the description should be understandable across the areas of work so that
the value of research can be appreciated by the subject experts as well as reviewers outside the area
and a layperson.

 V. Draft Citation

Please include a draft citation of up to 300 words, which describes succinctly the achievements, impact,
or potential which merits the award as reflected in section IV.
Please note the draft citation, submitted by the Applicant, will be endorsed by the respective HEC
Review Committee after necessary editing in case the award is granted. Moreover, the language of the
description should be understandable across the areas of work so that the value of research can be
appreciated by the subject experts as well as reviewers outside the area and a layperson.

1. Curriculum Vitae of the applicant and all authors; CVs should be of a standard form (maximum 2
pages) listing Personal details, Education and employment history, research projects,
publications, patents, honors, service contributions, etc.

2. Three letters of support: from three endorsers on prescribed endorsement form

3. Copy of Publications: In case of journal articles, please attach an electronic copy. In case of
books, a physical copy will also be required along with digital version

4. Any other relevant documents in support of the information provided in the application
