Week three was cut a little short but it was just as fun as the rest!

Tuesday was a
slower day. Starting off with a new piece of science fiction text which was just as
interesting to the students as it was to me. It was a little long so some students had a
hard time focusing. While wandering the classroom I had to remind some students to
stay on task by having them identify the line Ms.Coates was reading. All of the students
had excellent takeaways though!
Wednesday was the most fun for me. Ms.Coates had me read for ¨lit circle¨, an
activity where each student chooses a book to read and read in a group, with a small
circle of two girls reading Stargirl. The two girls in my group and myself reread the first
couple pages and discussed our predictions and thoughts on all characters. We ended
up reading further ahead because we could not put it down! Since my time was cut
short this past week I stayed through lunch with the students on Wednesday. Lunch with
them was a blast as I was able to see all of their little personalities come out. The kids
along with myself were so upset that it would e over a week before I saw them again but
untill then… happy Spring Break!
