 3. FIRST DRAFT

Do you have anyone to admire? Is it a role model? Is he a celebrity or is he family? Is this person
so special? Today I will introduce you to one of the most important people in my life, my role
model, whom I love and deeply admire. The person who influenced me the most is my
grandfather. My grandfather raised me to be a fighting, cheerful, humble and compassionate girl.

My grandfather, Jairo, is tall in stature and is plump. It is just over eighty. He has short, curly
hair and coffee with gray hair. His face is round and friendly looking, he has a big smile that
illuminates him and gives me life every time I see him; also has a characteristic moustache. In
addition, it has populated eyebrows that hide its small brown ripped eyes and expressions of
kindness that are marked by its wrinkles and freckles. He tends to wearing formal clothing such
as sacks, fancy shirts, loafers, trousers; his style is very Santafereño or Rolo.

My grandpa is an incredibly sensitive person who helps everyone who needs it, always putting
himself in each other's shoes. However, they may sometimes abuse their kindness and never seek
to receive anything in return. Besides, he is outgoing he has many friends and of course he is
very cheerful, always bringing out the good in all things; you can never be miss his heavy joke to
brighten up the situation.

My grandpapa has a life story that is to be admired and everything I had to go through was not
easy at all. He was born in Tolima into a very low-income family made up of his four brothers
and his mother, most of his childhood had to work on planting crops to bring support home. He
despite all the adversity, was very persistent, never surrendered, and moved on with his life;
struggling day by day to get what you have right now. On the other hand, the story she has with
my grandmother I love her and that's what I would like to raise my family in the future, the love
that you have among them is incomparable, as you take care of, complement each other and have
so much patience that they have been married for almost sixty years. The trips with him for me
will always be and are the most special, makes the family have an incredible union.

Finally, my grandfather is one of the most important people in my life, he is the person who
made me understand that to fulfill dreams you must work hard, who has always been an
unconditional support for me in the most difficult times and always giving me advice to follow a

better path. I think it's the one who contributed greatly to my ability to show compassion and
sensitivity for others.
I hope to have him many more years by my side and may I never lack.

¿Tienes alguna persona que admirar? ¿Es un modelo a seguir? ¿Es un famoso o es de la familia?
¿Es tan especial esta persona? Hoy le presentaré a una de las personas más importantes de mi
vida, mi moldeo a seguir, a quien amo y admiro profundamente. La persona que más me ha
influido es mi abuelo. Mi abuelo me crio para ser una niña luchadora, alegre, humilde y
compasiva. 

Mi abuelo, Jairo, es de estatura alta y tiene poco más de los ochenta. Es regordete y tiene el pelo
corto, rizado y café con canas. Su rostro es redondo y de aspecto amistoso, tiene una gran sonrisa
que lo ilumina y me da vida cada vez que lo veo, también tiene un característico bigote. Además,
tiene cejas pobladas que esconden sus pequeños ojos rasgados cafés y expresiones de amabilidad
que se ven marcadas por sus arrugas y pecas. Tiende a usar ropa formal como sacos, camisas
elegantes, mocasines, pantalones; su estilo es muy a lo Santafereño o Rolo. 
 
Mi abuelo es una persona increíblemente sensible que ayuda a todos los que lo necesitan,
siempre poniéndose en los zapatos del otro. Sin embargo, pueden que en ocasiones abusen de su
bondad y nunca busca recibir algo a cambio. Además, es extrovertido tiene muchos amigos y
por supuesto es muy alegre, siempre sacándole lo bueno a todas las cosas; nunca puede faltar su
chiste pesado para alegrar la situación.

Mi abuelo tiene una historia de vida que es de admirar y todo lo que tuve que pasar no fue nada
fácil; nació en el Tolima en una familia de muy bajos recursos conformada por sus cuatro
hermanos y su mamá, la mayoría de su niñez tuvo que trabajar en la siembra de cultivos para
llevar el sustento a su casa. Él a pesar de todas las adversidades, fue muy persistente, nunca se
rindió y siguió adelante con su vida; luchando día a día para obtener lo que tiene en este
momento. Por otro lado, la historia que tiene con mi abuela la amo y es lo que yo quisiera para
formar mi familia en un futuro, el amor que se tienen entre ellos es incomparable, como se

cuidan, se complementan y se tienen tanta paciencia que llevan casi sesenta años de casados. Los
viajes con él para mí siempre serán y son los más especiales, hace que la familia tenga una unión
increíble.
  
Finalmente, mi abuelo es uno de las más personas importantes en mi vida, es aquella persona que
me hizo entender que para cumplir los sueños se debe trabajar duro, es él el que siempre ha sido
un apoyo incondicional para mí en los momentos más difíciles y siempre dándome consejos para
seguir un mejor camino. Creo que es quien contribuyó en gran medida a mi capacidad para
mostrar compasión y sensibilidad por los demás. Espero tenerlos muchos años más a mi lado y
que nunca me falte.
