Personal Statement
One thing that I often look back on in my life is the time that I was in middle school and I was at

a cross country meet and at the time I thought it was just a normal day but little did I know that

day would change my mentality to this day. That day, I went on to win the whole invitation. At

the time, I just thought I was another kid who ran and was just flowing along with everyone

else.This single accomplishment sparked a whole new light in me; the whole experience taught

me that you can do anything as long as you work hard and put the time towards what you are

working for and every since that day I have practiced that piece of mind and I have never let

myself down or others.

The best thing about it all is that in doing so, by following my path that I have paved, I feel as if I

make the people around me also have that frame of mind and give them the will to make their

life better and put forth that effort and in turn they make me a better person too. I am aware I

haven't lived long and don't have all too much to prove this, butI know that when I look around

me, my life that is proof enough to know that if you simply stay committed and work hard and

put time into what you're working towards, you'll never be let down in the end of things. This is

single event has empowered me to be better in my personal life.
