I am a high school senior who is writing to you to express my level of interest for your biology
program. I have heard many great things about your program and would like to become a part
of it. There are many reasons as to why I would be a good candidate for this program. I am a
well rounded, mature student who shows a great amount of promise for my future.

Throughout my entire high school career, I have been able to manage my time very well
between extracurricular activities, personal life, and work. I am a part of the Track and Field,
Cross Country, basketball, and volleyball teams . I even worked closely with all my teammates
as a captain on those teams to better my team and the people on them. Being on these teams has
allowed me to work well with others and someone who is not afraid to take risks in life. As for
my grades, I have managed to keep a decent GPA throughout all four years and managed to get
passing in every grading period.

My work experience has provided me with many qualities that would allow me to excel in your
program. I have been a server and cashier for a year or so. My job has taught me to
become more honest and considerate. It displayed to me that I am able to take charge
and be a good leader. Serving and cashiering has made me a more responsible person who is
willing to take on challenging roles in life. I possess a large amount of respect and consideration
for
everyone around me.

It is my hope that you will consider me for this highly challenging biology program. I believe
that I
would be highly proficient at Slippery Rock University. I am looking forward to meeting with
your
