Wedding Para-Liturgy I. II. Opening Prayer: Ikaw at Ako
Wedding Para-Liturgy I. II. Opening Prayer: Ikaw at Ako
I. INTRODUCTION
II. OPENING PRAYER
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this beautiful day and gathering all of us here together to discuss about the sacrament of
marriage. We ask You to help each one of us to understand what the true meaning of the sacrament of
marriage is all about. Love is truly amazing, and may You show us how to love one another so that we
can be prepared for marriage. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Ephesians 5: 1-7
Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved
us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed,
because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse
joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.
For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any
inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because
of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them.
1 Corinthians: 4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
V. REFLECTION
Please answer these questions on the heart-shaped paper that we will pass out.
We will be creating rings from already shaped rings, but we will also be adding a beautiful jewel to it.
What do you think the
rings represent?
Please discuss it with your partner.

X. CLOSING SONG
"Tagpuan"
Di, di ko inakalang
Darating din sa akin
Nung ako'y nanalangin kay Bathala
Naubusan ng bakit
At hindi di mapaliwanag
Ang nangyari sa akin
Saksi ang lahat ng tala
Sa iyong panalangin
