Student Teacher Practices Influence on Student Learning Experience

Being a teacher means being a professional. Developing and maintaining myself as a

specific standards of conduct. To be specific,
as a student teacher, I have worked to abide
by the legal frameworks and policies provided
by the Alberta education system. This
includes following the ATA Code of Conduct,
the School Act, and the specifications laid out
by my educational institution and the schools
in which I have completed practical
experience within. I have been diligent in
maintaining a professional conduct by
referring to such documents and ensuring
that by behaviours, practice, and appearance
are upheld to the appropriate standards.
Throughout my theoretical and practical
experiences, I have been able to observe and
learn from my professors and my mentors on
how to maintain a professional standing.

learning experience. My students have access
to an authority figure that demonstrates the
professional attributes of a teacher. It is
important to use my behaviours, actions, and
appearance both in and out of the classroom
as an example to my students. Adhering to
these professional standards of conduct will
support my professional relationships with

experience and community.
