Wind tie-rod straps

BAN wind tie-rod straps are used for anchoring and bracing of roof constructions as described in the wind bracing
catalogue (www.strongtie.dk) or TRÆ58. Wind tie-rod straps with widths of 25, 40 and 60 mm are a part of the
tie-rods in the wind bracing systems.

Wind tie-rod straps 80x2,0 can be used where higher tensile are needed in the strap.

In order to ensure the straps are active they must be tight in the finished building.

When mounting the wind tie-rods in the timber construction CNA4,0xℓ corrugated nails or CSA5,0xℓ bracket
screws are used. It is recommended always to use connecting brackets for attainment of maximum connecting
strength to the truss construction.

By embedding in the concrete the needed embedding length is determined by the quality of the concrete and the
magnitude of the forces.
