What is Tessellation?
A Tessellation (or Tiling) is when we cover a surface
with a pattern of flat shapes so that there are no
overlaps or gaps.
Examples:

Regular Tessellations
A regular tessellation is a pattern made by repeating
a regular polygon.

Other Tessellations
There are also "demiregular" tessellations, but
mathematicians disagree on what they actually are!
And some people allow curved shapes (not just
polygons) so we can have tessellations like these:

My Tessellation project:
Did my shape tessellate or not?
Why?
My shape: Yes it did tessellate because there
are no gaps or over laps, it perfectly fits.
How did I make my tessellate?
I cut out my shape from the
top and the side of the
paper, then put it outside the
paper, making sure to be
accurate, then I taped it and I
put it on an A4 paper and
traced it.
Thankyou for watching!
