Kudus Tower Mosque which is located in Kauman Sub-District, Kudus District, Kudus
Regency, Central Java, has become a witness to the living of longstanding inter-religious
harmony.
This mosque was founded by Sunan Kudus or Sayyid Ja'far Sadiq Azmatkhan in 956
Hijriaj or 1549 AD.
That said, the stone inscription was imported from Baitul Maqdis in Palestine so that this
mosque is often called the Al Aqsa Mosque.
Kudus Tower is the most beautiful proof of a strategy of dawah culturally. That is, based on
the cultural paradigm putting Islam substantially, as culture. In this situation, the Islamic Dawah
was not iconoclastic nature: the destruction of a local icon. Otherwise, through the breath of the
virtues of local communities. Starting from the cultural strategies of Sunan Kudus, we can show
the world of Islam that harmonic Islam is in the form of culture. Instead of political Islam, which
preachs religion through mastery of the State, the Constitution, the Shariah police, and local
regulations. surely, KudusTower and cultural dawah strategies of Sunan Kudus can be a counter
discourse over Islamic radicalism, which preach the religion through the political movement.
In Kudus Tower mosque we take many photos and we buy all unique goods from Kudus
Tower Mosque that we buy for our family in home. and finally we go back to our home and we
really enjoy our trip to Kudus Tower Mosque.

Hari ini Fandy dan temannya pergi ke Masjid Menara Kudus, kami pergi kesana dengan
bis. Jalan menuju kesana,kami selalu bernyanyi bersama. ketika kami di Masjid Menara Kudus,
kami sangat bahagia karena melihat keindahan dan kemegahan Masjid Menara Kudus.
Hal ini merujuk pada inskripsi berbahasa Arab yang tertulis di prasasti batu berukuran
lebar 30 cm dan panjang 46 cm yang terletak pada mihrab masjid.
Konon, prasasti batu itu didatangkan dari Baitul Maqdis di Palestina sehingga masjid ini
sering pula disebut Masjid Al Aqsa.
Menara Kudus merupakan bukti tercantik dari suatu strategi dakwah yang bersifat
kultural. Artinya, Sunan Kudus berdasarkan paradigma kebudayaan, telah menempatkan Islam
secara substansial, sebagai kebudayaan. Dalam situasi ini, dakwah Islam akhirnya tidak bersifat
ikonoklastik: penghancuran ikon lokal. Akan tetapi sebaliknya: mengaliri nafas kebajikan
masyarakat lokal. Berpijak dari strategi kultural Sunan Kudus inilah, kita bisa menunjukkan
kepada dunia Islam, bahwa Islam yang selaras, adalah Islam dalam bentuk budaya. Bukan Islam
politik, yang mendakwahkan agama melalui penguasaan negara, konstitusi, polisi syariah, dan
peraturan daerah. Maka tak ayal lagi, Menara Kudus dan strategi dakwah kultural Sunan Kudus
bisa menjadi counter discourse atas radikalisme Islam, yang mendakwahkan agama melalui
gerakan politik.
Di Masjid Menara Kudus kami mengambil banyak foto dan membeli barang yang unik
untuk oleh-oleh. dan kami pulang kerumah dan kami sangat menikmati liburan kami di Masjid
Menara Kudus.
