Differently-able: An Open Door

Lucky are those of ten-finger,

Lucky are those of silver-spoon,
Lucky are those of gifted-mind,
Unlucky you, if it’s neither or less.

For you may be a burden in society,

For chances given are fifty-fifty,
“Disabled” – It’s what they see,
Count me out, you’re a hero for me.

Though without hands, you were able to give.

Whatever you cultivate, you wholeheartedly share.
Though without limbs, you were able to walk.
It is when you talk, you unknowingly shed light.

Though without eyes, you were able to see.

By heart you discern, truth from lies.
Though without ears, you were able to hear.
Agonies in life, you feel, give sympathy.

Differently-able, I prefer.
You never lose your capability, ever.
You just do it on your own power.
Human standards? Yes, you conquer!

Lucky are those of ten-finger,

Lucky are those of silver-spoon,
Lucky are those of gifted-mind,
Unlucky? No, it is beyond blessed!

You are our inspiration.

Neither or less does not matter.
Not anymore.
For you did open the door!
