Introduction
I have chosen to write about Motocross because it is a sport I really like, and I thought I could
get many facts out of it. I like motocross because you can ride fast and jump high and have fun
with your friends.

HISTORY
The genesis of motocross came in UK in the early 1900s where Auto-Cycle clubs would host
time trials. These trials evolved into regular off-road events called ´scrambles. The first ever
official scramble was held in camberly, surrey 1924.

Facts
In Norway it is only allowed to ride motocross in specially approved places and in region clubs

that is a member of NMF. Everyone that rides Motocross needs a license.

There is also a beginner's license that can be redeemed by attending a motocross track.

In order to obtain training or a competition license, a license course that contains eight hours of

theory and 8 hours of driving technique must be completed. The motocross branch also

includes Freestyle Motocross (FMX), Supercross and supermotard. motocross track can have

from 1 meter and all the way up to 40 meters big jumps. The track choice in motocross is

absolutely decisive for which position you get, by choosing the wrong track you can lose almost

10 seconds, and it takes a lot to get up The jumps on a again. Motocross is a very physically

demanding sport, and the athletes must have very good condition and good strength

throughout the body. In motocross, the NM, NM for teams and Norgescup are arranged.

And when you turn 10 tears old you can ride an 85. and when you are 15 you can ride a 125.

And when you turn 18 you can ride 250, 450 or higher. Norway's biggest motocross star,
Kenneth Gundersen, is the only Norwegian to have ridden the Motocross Grand Prix (WC) on a

professional team. He resigned in 2009.

Discussion
One positive Thing about Motocross is that you can ride fast and jump High. When we are done

riding we can have fun with friends outside. One negative thing about Motocross is that when

you crash it can og really bad and it’s expensive.

Ending
I think the most important thing from the text is that you need a license to ride competitive. I
wrote something last week at school and this week wrote very much at school.
