The article under consideration deals with the issues of influence of

coronavirus. The headline of the article is " Covid-19 affects BAME youth
mental health more than white peers – study.". It`s taken from the Guardian and
it’s written by Denis Campbell.
According to the article, Children of black, Asian and ethnic minority heritage are
suffering much worse damage to their mental health because of the pandemic than
their white peers. The higher risk of BAME people dying from Covid-19 and
inability to attend school over the last three months are behind large rises in
anxiety and self-harm among non-white under-18s.
For instance, the number of BAME under-18s contacting Kooth with suicidal
thoughts went up by 26.6% over the same three months but by 18.1% among their
white peers. It was the same with incidents of self-harm, where the BAME and
white groups studied had respective increases of 29.5% and 24.9%.
The author drew our attention on fact that the higher risk of people of BAME
origin contracting and dying from Covid-19 was a key factor.
I believe that this article is really relevant for adults and young people, since the
coronavirus is a completely new disease and scientists still do not fully know how
it can affect the morale state of people. Therefore, the article was interesting.

2. The article under consideration deals with the issues of influence of politic. The
headline of the article is " The former vice president is the leader our nation
needs now.". It`s taken from the New York Times and it’s written by Damon
Winter.
According to the article, Mr. Biden has an unusually rich experience in foreign
policy, which, as traditionally understood, has not played a central role in the
presidential race.
The author drew our attention on fact that Mr. Biden has the necessary chops,
having spent much of his career focused on global concerns. He did not only take
on thorny diplomatic missions as vice president, he also served more than three
decades on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
Aware that an “America First” approach in reality amounts to “America alone,” he
would work to revive damaged alliances. He has the respect and trust of America’s
allies and would not be played for a fool by its opponents.
Certainly, not all of Mr. Biden’s foreign policy decisions through the decades look
wise, but he has shown foresight in key moments.
I believe that this article is really relevant. In my opinion, he has the experience,
tEEmperment and character to guide the nation through this valley into a brighter,
more hopeful future.
3. The article under consideration deals with the issues of Environment. The
headline of the article is Barack Obama expresses support for Prince William's
new project". It`s taken from hellomagazine and it’s written by Diane Shipley.
According to the article, the ambitious new prize will see £50 million paid out over
the next ten years to projects which tackle some of the world's biggest
environmental challenges.
Prince William discussed the Earthshot Prize in an interview for BBC Radio.
William felt that there's a lot of people wanting to do many good things for the
environment and what they need is a bit of a catalyst, a bit of hope, a bit of
positivity that they can actually fix.
The author drew our attention on fact that the Earthshot Prize is really about
putting that optimism and that urgency to find solutions to some of the world’s
greatest environmental problems.
The first Earthshot Prizes will be presented in London in autumn 2021 and the
BBC will screen a five-part series ahead of the awards ceremony.
I believe that this article is really relevant. The article opens up new possibilities
and tells about a new way of protecting our environment. Also it’s a good
motivations for people who really takes care about our earth.

4. The article under consideration deals with the issues of Mysteries. The
headline of the article is Mysteries Of Flight: The Curious Case Of Pan Am
Flight 914". It`s taken from Plane & Pilot.
According to the article, in 1955 the Flight 914 took off from a New York City
airport headed for Miami, Florida. The flight was scheduled to last a couple of
hours, but it never arrived in Miami. The pilot dropped a small calendar out the
window before he made a hasty turn back to the runway.
The most popular theory is that the plane passed СРУ (through) some kind of time
portal and instead of landing in Miami in 1955, it appeared on arrival in Venezuela
30 years later. But the Truth is that the story of Pan Am Flight was a total
fabrication.
The tale got a huge boost, more than 15 million views, when YouTube channel put
out a video about the disappearance.
In my opinion, the article was interesting. It all goes to show how fascinated
people are by airplanes, even when the story is unbelievable, to create a
paranormal sensation.
5. The article under consideration deals with the issues of medicine. The headline
of the article is “Essays reveal Stephen Hawking predicted race of
'superhumans'” It`s taken from The Guardian and it’s written by Sarah Marsh.
According to the article, a new race of superhumans could develop from wealthy
people choosing to edit their and their children’s DNA.
Hawking, the author of A Brief History of Time, presented the possibility that
genetic engineering could create a new species of superhuman that could destroy
the rest of humanity. Hawking was sure that during this century, people would
discover how to modify both intelligence and instincts such as aggression.
The physicist suggested wealthy people would soon be able to choose to edit
genetic makeup to create superhumans with improved memory, disease resistance,
intelligence and long life.
Hawking raised the prospect that breakthroughs in genetics will make it attractive
for people to try to improve themselves, with implications for “unimproved
humans”.
I believe that this article is really relevant. The article opens up new opportunities
that may become reality in the near future. I also agree with the author that once
such superhumans appear, there will be significant political problems with
unimproved humans, who won’t be able to compete.

6. The article under consideration deals with the issues of medicine. The headline
of the article is “Neural revolution: Royal Society calls for inquiry into new
wave of brain implants” It`s taken from The Guardian and it’s written by Ian
Sample.
According to the article, society must prepare for a technological revolution.
Nowadays such research is advancing so fast that the Royal Society has called for
a “national investigation” into the technology.
The author drew our attention on fact that the new wave of devices will go beyond
existing products such as special implant hearing aids and deep brain stimulators
for people with Parkinson’s disease. People could also converse not only without
speaking but without words, СРУ (through) access to each other’s thoughts at a
conceptual level.
But with such new powers come new risks. Expensive brain-boosting devices may
become luxury items in richer nations, leaving poorer countries behind. And with
devices plugged directly into the brain, people’s most private information could be
used against them.
I believe that this article is really relevant. The article opens up new opportunities
that may become reality in the near future. I recon we need to think ahead about
who will control this information and what it might be used for, to watch against
possible harmful uses as our experience with social media has shown.
